麻烦大家帮忙看一下我的作文好么？我快考试了，对自己的作文还很没有底。这是我做的07年的一道题，26分钟完成的，帮我评价再评分一下可以吗？谢谢了
  题目：Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
     In today’s world, to speak well is more important than to write well.

Currently, a survey about the importance of speaking and writing is raised by the website ABC and draws public attention to participate in it. As is evidenced in the figures among the attitudes of 2000 people, though 40 percent of them regard the opinion that speaking is more essential as an available idea, from my perspective, the opinion that writing carries more weight has much more convincing reasons. More writing communication and formal effect both contribute power to strengthening the idea.

No issue is more important now than the one that refers to more writing communication. With the development of the technology, the life style has changed and influenced people’s behavior. The place that needs people to communicate by words is in a growing number. Nowadays, people prefer to use Internet or message to do business, inform news and talk with people instead of telephone and face to face method. All of these need people a great skill of writing, not the skill of speaking like ever before. Therefore, the writing skill gradually becomes an indispensable part of the modern society.

Formal effect is another head and chief reason that figures out the valuable point. Some decisions, which always refer to transactions and files, need writing to ensure its rightness which needs people have a strong writing skill. The case which is one of many similar examples is not unique. My uncle John, who is a business man, once was promised by a retail store a low price of goods and thus ignored the demand of the transaction contraction. When he received the goods, he found their price is 30 percent higher than the same goods offered by other stores. Now, he always focuses on the writing part of the contraction.

Superior as the reasons listed above, however, we cannot deny the fact that the opposite view has its merits to compensate its weakness as well. For one thing, speaking can reduce the distance among people. For another, elegant speaking brings a good impression. Nevertheless, the benefits of my point view carry more weight than those of the opposite one because the demand of writing skill is increasing in an amazing speed. Therefore, the importance of writing skill is still unshakeable in spite of considering the advantages of speaking skill.

To sum up, judging from all the advantages offered above, which frequently intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive, we can safely reach the conclusion that the writing skill is becoming an indispensable part of the modern society. So combined and compared with all the evidence, I feel that if people wish to have a better life, a strong writing skill is undoubtedly an unmistakable method.
