M7 is for Booth and Kellogg

I find this interesting trend.

In my opinion, people always mention M7 are mostly those who want to get into Chicago and Northwestern.

People from HBS, Stanford, and Wharton would never say they are M7. They would just simply say their school names. Even columbia seldom mention they are M7.

But people in Booth and Kellogg just mention about M7 so they would be seen in the same league as those ultra big names.

Actually, I think putting Tuck, Columbia, Sloan, Booth, Kellogg in the same group makes more sense than mixing them up with HWS.

Just my thoughts after seeing some M7 comments. What do you guys think?

hey, M7 is just a standard for those who still in the process of application, just like me......any one of M7 will satisfy me...anyway, Tuck is one of M7? heard there is nothing but mountains...

this is simply wrong. i just don't understand why some people are so fussy about ranking. if you get into any top 10 school and land a good job then, you will find that nobody gives a dime on which school you went. the difference is really not as huge as you thought.

this is very true. I am just talking about M7. Lot of people who mention about M7 are simply those who are fussy about ranking and want to use the term M7 to narrow the gaps betwwen their schools and HWS.

It's just like someone driving a mercedes C230 says: I am driving a mercedes.
thats different from driving an S600. if you are given an S600 or C230 for free, which one will you take? some may say, as long as I can get from point A to point B, I am fine. I don't give a damn about what car I am driving.

but i would rather put S600 in the same class as 760Li, and c230 in the same class as bmw 323.....rather than a simple mercedes or bmw....

I just wanna take a break from the essays, and think/write about sth else for a bit....hehe....the essays writings are so stressful. im writing them again and again after critics from different ppl...

there is no offence or disrespect to booth and kellogg...i would feel extremly flattered if i could get an interview invitation from booth....(kellogg's interview is applicant-initiated. hehe)

B and K are undoubtedly world-class schools that tons of ppl dream to get in, including me.

unfortunately i drive a mercedes c230. when people ask about my car, i never mention mercedes, just tell them that i drive a small car, haha.

You can classify them in whatever way you like, there is no real benefit for playing this.
