Either school is impressive but Chicago is more famous in finance and it's located in a big city , which is more attractive for most of the MBAs. And, it's easier to fly in and out from Chicago to China . And , there are a lot of Chinese restourants and supermakets, which means a lot to a Chinese. Also, I assume there is less racist in Chicago. In addition, I heard U of Chicago is very beautiful. And, for young girls, I think GM is not really a better choice than finance and consulting. Plus, Chicago is ranked for No. 2 this year vs. Duke is ranked for No.9. So, my vote is Chicago But you can just wait for the financial aid decision before you make your own. Anyway, it's a happy dilema . Good luck!
congrats bloomingtree! as for placement, one current student told one of my friends that they (guys on campus now) got an average of 7-8 offers this year. sounds great, although i really think that he may exaggerated the situation a bit.
btw, from businessweek forum, a mexican r1 w/l applicant got the call from don. so another round of invitation or pissing off begins! since i was w/l for round 1, my nerve gets even weaker!
