I went to Wharton straight after undergrad. No, I did not have a family business, and no, I did not have capital to invest. I am a normal guy with normal career aspirations. Having said that you're coming about this from the wrong way. I decided that I wanted to pick up some business skills after college. I also had some other reasons for wanting to learn about business right now (I want to work in the media, and if I wait a few years the industry might no longer exist) that was sincere and spoke well to the adcom. Only after I was sure of my reasons, did I then start to think about how to fulfill them. I looked at many options, before deciding that an MBA was my best option. I also looked at a lot of different programmes, before choosing to apply only to Wharton because it had my number 1 choice- the Lauder programme. I'm about to graduate this coming May, and I am in the (3%?) of students who is doing something non-traditional (yes, I am still going to work in the media, and in a non-traditional function too: sales, and not something like strategy or finance). It has been an amazing ride, and I know at least some of my more experienced classmates envy me for being able to pursue my dreams in a less-traditional industry and function, because I am younger and have more time to experiment. For me, at least, this has been a perfect time to do my MBA. If I had come later, I doubt I'd be so adventurous and so happy about what I am going to be doing after I graduate. So do some reflection first... and if you've done your proper research and truly believe that an MBA is the right option, then go ahead and pursue it with vigour, regardless of what anyone else tells you. -- by 会员 jelt2359 (2010/3/8 5:44:59)
问题在于JASON是从CHICAGO U毕业的,持的一定不是大陆护照; 而LZ是国内一般大学.,持的一定是大陆护照, 我觉得这点在申请上是有本质区别的. |
