今天做这道题 除了语义awkward 不知道B是不是however的用法也出错

如果however不能作连词 那么B显然错误

之前看别人在cd上讨论时说过however不能做连词

特向大家求证

B中的however这样用就是“不管怎么样”的意思啊。“无论她们的工资落后多少”？？

however是做“转折，仍然”的意思时是副词，无法连接句子。however做连词的时候意思是“不管怎样”。故在GMAT里面however是基本上不能连接两个句子的。但是不排除连接两个短语或者修饰语的情况。

2.on the other hand; yet

作为adv

1.by whatever means; in whatever manner

2.no matter how

作为一个连词也不能像and或者but那样连两个句子的吧..一般也就是句子开头来一个however

从语法角度说 however作为连词的时候应该可以向and一样联接两个单独的句子

从语言习惯上 更倾向于放在句首
