I would say your background is not even close.

You can consider your chance this way. There are so many chinese students studying biology in the states. Most of them know that they have to work as endless postdoc after their PhD study and are not satisfied with their pay. As a result, lots of them want to transfer to other major. Do you see any accounting phd student with pure biology background? Actually, there are lots of them working on master in statistics or accounting, which is much much easier to get in. Do you think you have any advantage over them?

现在基本每个accounting，finance program招两个人左右，超过一百人申请，中国人起码占五十，很多是中国名校商学院的本科，硕士，很多是在美国读了相关专业master的。想想自己如何能在这群人里standout？

其实accounting对申请人背景知识要求比较高。中国人转专业读会计master都要补七八门课。完全不懂regulation怎么做研究呢？

虽然偶尔会有一些人完全没有专业background的人申到了，但是人家或许有大牛赏识，或有相关工作经验，或有很强的统计经济的背景

accounting 哪里有那么多人申请，超过80个申请人的program已经很少了。finance超过200人的到是有一些的。

不少top的私立学校，finance每年发10个offer，accounting发4，5个offer。

for finance,  5-10 offers are very common,  of course some of them will not accept.

都读了四年了 难道只是为了找工作移民？

如果是的话还不如申请本专业的Phd

申请EB1A或者EB1B 否则不是犯傻么

acc而不是其他的原因是我想往这个方向转.虽然的确如你所说,我现在不具有accounting的任何背景,但是我正在跟着老师做项目,只是时间太短还没有成果..

我感觉越是好学校，越喜欢多元背景的学生，什么哲学，心理学，物理，数学，工程之类。可以从不同视角进行研究

一般的学校喜欢商科背景，有相关工作经验的学生。这种学校更注重培养teaching能力

lz的情况好学校机会不大，不好的学校不见得好进。不如问问你的推荐人在什么学校有熟人吧。我感觉美国教授很实在，我跟一个相熟的教授说想念博士，他直接就说了自己在哪些学校有熟人
