这周六, UT AUSTIN的中国留学生&访问学者协会将举行BLOOD TEST. 如果你在TEXAS, 并有心帮助他们,不妨点击一下以下信息:
=================================== You Might be the Missing One -- Blood Test for Jian =================================== Time: March 13rd Saturday 11:00 AM---2:00 PM Place: Pearce Hall 2.404 http://www.utexas.edu/student/txunion/about/floor/
Jian Yu, a UT alumni, was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia recently. Unfortunately Jian has no siblings who can be his potential donor and has not found a prefect match in the existing bone marrow registry. Now his last hope is to find a unrelated donor who has matching tissue type. We are asking any and all caring and compassionate individuals to take a moment to have a blood test done. You only need to have about 7ml of blood drawn. This will determine if they might be the missing piece to save Jian and many other patients like him. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A MIRACLE!
i , a chines student in germany , also have a friend who caught it in March.2003. The doctor , a famous professor in Essen City university hospital, told him such news. Now he took a kind of gene medine made in Swiss. And with the help from Professor Li Zheng Dao, he have found the qualified sample.
So my friend is able to give the beautiful couple some useful advice. i have sent his email address to she3lu4[在] yahoo.com , pls check it .
It's a very simple blood test. Although the website mentions there would be a fee, it is actually free for minorities (including Asians) in many places because they want to increase the representation of minorities in the registry.
