Your request to defer your admission has been received and processed. You
have been assigned a new Program ID # : 999041369/059/B99. You will hear
from us shortly, notifying you that your application has been forwarded to
the graduate department for consideration. At that time the graduate program
director will review your application and, normally, approve the deferral.
Once the deferral is approved, you will receive a new offer of admission for
the semester to which you are deferring.

If you have submitted a deposit, your deposit will be held and deferred as
well; the deposit amount will be applied to your student fees for the
semester in which you enroll. We are unable to refund deposits on deferrals;
if you would prefer a refund rather than a deferral of your admission,
please write to us immediately.
这所大学要我把申请推到明年，我同意了。然后他就发了这封信过来。他是说我明年一定能够录取吗？我申请的是phd of management/accounting, 以前有过类似案例吗？

你今年到底有没有拿到offer？有的话defer到下一年还有。

    if possible, please tell which school it is. so other people will not waste money on this school.

今年没有offer啊，据学校说是因为申请人很多，水平也很高。但是我的水平也不错，所以建议我把申请推到明年，到时候不需要提交其他东西了。那我也没有办法啊，只好说同意推吧。所以现在对这封信的意思不懂，难道说明年就一定能保证我有offer吗？

看上去今年你没有OFFER至少也有ADMISSION啊

             你收到的是admission吧？他的意思是说下一年还有admission。如果奖学金是另外单独 评的话也许就要下年才说了。

偶申请的是博士，admission和offer应该没什么区别吧，好像都是automatically considered full financial aid 的
