请教Wharton的essay，字数750～1000

Essay  1 – (750-1000 words)

As a leader in global business, Wharton is committed to sustaining “a truly global presence through its engagement in the world”.  What goals are you committed to and why?  How do you envision the Wharton MBA contributing to the attainment of those goals?

 

Essay 2 – (750-1000 words)

Tell us about a time when you had to adapt by accepting/understanding the perspective of people different from yourself.

很脸红的说，我感觉这两个essay，我都写不到750个字。大概500字左右就可以把事情说清楚了，为什么要这么长呢？
请教Wharton的朋友，需要写750～1000字吗？

If you have nothing to write, then don't force the issue. 750-1000 words is an upper limit, as well as a suggestion of how much space they've seen applicants tend to need to get across their stories well.

A bigger problem is, if you really have not enough to write about, I would reevaluate if you're choosing the right content to write about. After all, years and years of applicants have taken 750-1000 words to communicate this- so unless you're an amazingly succinct writer I would reevaluate. Even then, succinctness might work to your advantage in the sense that you can squeeze more content in.

When I wrote my essays, I had the opposite problem, trying to squeeze an essay into 1000 words.
