还有这道题划线部分的语序我不懂，D中的had been是因为 a year earlier才能成立的吗？ so bad as because这种用法以前也没见过，希望牛牛们帮忙讲解一下~~谢谢

as...as可用在否定句/肯定句

可是这题就是肯定句啊，D选项作为正确选项怎么是用so...as    

还有我的意思是as...as 比较的不光是形容词名词，还能比较句子？？这里bad是形容词，可是后面because是一个句子啊。。。。实在不明白~~谢谢

as much because their sales a year earlier had been so bad as because 这里有两个知识点，一个是as much as 还有一个是由此引申出的平行结构，即在两个as后面都跟上because。

另外，这里so是通过表示程度来修饰bad 与as much as无关
