This is a tricky question. by glimpes, you can easily take out A, B and D, and they you will be struggling between C and D. but both C and D are incorrect
(B) is the answer. I guess if two sentences are separated by semicolon, they should be treated individually, so the past perfect tense is OK in the second sentence.
Anyone has any better idea?比较来比较去只能选B 这个题我在A和B中纠结了一会儿 毕竟C,D,E的in 1997改变句意 原先的句子是过去的过去(在1997之前)选了B
