请教一个essay的问题

我与朋友在讨论时对以下topic有不同的意见：

"If you were not pursuing the career goals you described in Question 1（long-term and short term goal),  what profession would you pursue instead? (For example, teacher, musician,athlete, architect, etc.) How will this alternate interest contribute to  your effectiveness in solving multidisciplinary problems?"

我的朋友认为应该是说 "What else will you do to achieve your long term goal if you can't pursuing initial career goal?"

但我认为应该是讲： "What any other qualities do you possess?"

不知大家有什么见解，不胜感激

但是 multidisciplinary problems又作何解呢？是指你从事这个行业之后面临的问题呢？还是说无论从事任何行业，今后都有可能面临的问题？

请各位帮帮忙罗
