我知道读Finance Phd需要曲线救国，但是到底该怎么做？？

LZ你考的是GRE？ 多嘴提醒你一下，Finance PHD是在商学院里，绝大多数需要提供GMAT成绩。有时候可以用GRE，但很可能会直接告诉你更偏向GMAT。我吃过这个亏。。。

谢楼上～我觉是得目前大陆本科直接去读finance phd不大可能，所以就考GRE先读个economics 或者statistics 或者mfe之类提升一下背景。读完后再考Gmat去申...

目前的困惑是读什么对于提升背景最有效～

I think a combination of stat and econ will be the best choice, so probably if u can get gatech's offer ,it will be the best. I think queens and other canada schools which provide research finance master program is also good, since they also offer scholarship.

U can try to apply both, see what u get finnally, then ask opinions among those. Onething u also need consider is the previous student's profile, such as what did they go after graduation. U can get this kind of info either from the chinese students there or the professor who is responsible for the recuitment. Hope u don't consider mfe, since as LS said, the tuition is high and its aim is to provide people with job opportunity, not academic research.

econ和stat结合固然好，那么一定要限定在gatech吗？但是其他学校ms不一定都能修双硕士吧～

dif schools have dif policy, by far, I only know gatech. u can ask other school's departments

finance PHD是世界上最难申请的program 到现在可能也没几个出头的大陆人 我所知道的大陆背景本科CS的更是为零

ＭＦＥ　据我的了解 应该和research没有很大的关系 基本都是professioanl oriented的 除了stanford家 所以lz可能去试一下econ 的 stat的master 更match吧

stanford和uchicago的MFE我觉得是非常适合做基础的，但是申请真的挺难的。。。LSE和toulouse都有mathematical economics，我还是觉得duke的那个econ master也很不错，课程非常flexible,而且有很多去顶尖学校读PHD的先例

Duke那个自己的网站上就有placement 不是想象中那么绝对的耀眼呵呵
