另，今天还同时收到一家咨询公司的offer（前天面试的，虽然面试中错漏百出，差过任何一个学校的面试），很不错的职位和报酬。要记住今天这个大日子，3月4日，2004年，我的幸运日！！！

I got your e-mail. Since your questions are in common sense, I'd like to answer them here. So every body could share the    experiences too. Hope you do not mind.


"DIDI QUESTIONS"    

niagrafalls，又有事情请教你一下阿！

    

1, Ivey录取之后多久需要交保证金，是从信封日开始算，还是从Email接到congratulations开始算？（我还没有接到正式的offer纸）

    

Reply: about 3 weeks to one month. it depends on which addmission round you are.

    

    

2, 保证金是多少阿？分几期阿？可以用信用卡交吗？

    

R: The first deposit is CAD$2000, another $3000 will be at end of june. No credit card will be acceptible. They ask for money order or bank draft. (ensure thay can get the money.)

    

3, 几号开学？什么时候必须报到注册？

    

R: sept. 3 will be the first clss. but the week before that will be the oritation week. From april, there are some programs avaliable for students to adapt to the new enviroment.

    

4, 你现在在london吗还是在多伦多？伦敦离多伦多车程多少？那边的生活方便吗？主要是住房要怎么解决？

    

R: I am living in Toronto now. It's about 1 ~ 2 hours driving from Toronto to Ivey. Life is pretty simple in London. To rent a partment in london is much cheaper than in Toronto. It's a good place to study MBA. Compare to Toronto, I prefer to London.

    

5, 如果拿offer去签证旅游美国，有没有机会阿？我说签证的难易？

    

R: B1/B2 to visit USA should be OK. But if it's your first time, you may only get one-time VISA. You keep good record for that, later you could get a longer time VISA to USA.

    

6, 如果不申请scholarship或者awards还要填什么financial aid的form吗？比如财力证明什么的？（新移民应该可以无条件贷款吧，不需要住满一年？）还有商业贷款是不是年利率是0.5%，这样算下来每月还很少钱阿？我没算错吧？

    

R: Financial report, you'd better refer to the information on the website. Immigrant and citizen could get bank load for your MBA program.

    

Since you are a new immigrant, you can not get provincial student load(at least for living here more than 12 months,)

    

Bank load's interest should be the Prime+0.5%, that means, if the federal prime is 2%, then your interest should be 2.5%. After all, it is a commercial loan.

我一月底交申请材料,在二月中和三月初有一次面试和一次非正式见面, 至今没有拒信和Offer,请帮我分析一下是什么状况? 另我想不可能拿到scholarship或者awards,我没有提交Financial Package, 使eZone的status一直是Outstanding,这是否会影响我的申请?

2. financial report will not affect your application!

另外,收到OFFER后,新移民不会再理签证的事,那么有哪些是需要立即着手准备的呢?Both personally and professionally?
