Handbook of Good English上有提過這種錯誤...跟11th floor提的一樣
可是GMAT常有它自己的看法...

版主说是形容词，我有点不赞同

如果是形容词的话 a team found the noise not continuous but consisted of ...

为什么不对，not...but...后面形容词的并列，没有什么问题

所以只能说consisted是动词的过去形式

还有如果是被动语态更是说不过去，consist是不及物动词，没有被动语态

LZ的理解是对的，not...but...的平行比较特殊，与not only...but also,both...and...,either...or...等对形式也有严格要求的结构不同，它的平行要求更体现在结构上。

76题我认为是由于第一个并列结构中有BE(或者BECOME),所以后面一个并列结构中的BE必须省略，consisted就是过去分词，其实是be but (be)并列，不知道说的对不对，请指正！

虽然觉得那个非not..but结构很有道理（but做连词）但是还是没有人解释清楚C为什么错啊,在C里面就是not...but...后面都是名词的对称形式啊

觉得根本没那么复杂，rather than 不知道和谁比直接扔掉， A,C的that 指代不明确只能选B了

有个问题，我本来觉得B是正确的，但看到后面的“that were developed to solve”，这里的were应该是有问题的吧，因此我只能在剩下的选项里面选，选了个D。

这里的were是legitimate的么？
