以下是引用kidswang在2008-9-29 7:18:00的发言: I just got back from an international assignment and saw the post. Most of the information is quite accurate, especially from cheryloo. I just have a few more to add. However, I am no longer involved in big 4 recruiting so I only have 2nd hand information.
(1) I am not sure that EY is going to continue the China program. I was told that EY plans to combine the recruiting efforts. EY currently is the most generous in term of inviting F1 students for interview. (2) Deloitte US invites very limited F1 students for interview this year. However, Deloitte International invites a lot. (3) KPMG significantly reduces the number of interviews for F1 as well. (4) Overall, the placement situation for F1 students is worse than I expected. The recruiting season is just starting so it is very difficult to know. However, many many F1 have already been denied for interviews with the big 4. (5) I see IFRS as an opportunity. By the way, sicivi (#16) and cheryloo (#23) are absolutely correct. To make a long story short, US GAAP can be viewed as part of the IFRS framework according to the IFRS hierarchy. My experience from work is at least 95% unaffected. (Leases are quite different.) (6) By the way, are you sure only 4 schools for GT's China program, cheryloo?? I always thought it was 6 (U. of Florida and one that I cannot remember.)
This is my last post. I got a new assignment and will not be able to visit CD. I view my posts at CD as community services to my fellow chinese students. Good luck to all of you. I am on a train now and have only a few minutes. Please forgive any mistakes on this post.
