MBA Diversity No other business school offers such a multicultural experience, with over 70 nationalities represented among our MBA participants. The mix of cultures and personalities is matched by a equally diverse mix of educational and professional backgrounds. This diversity has long-term benefits. In a typical year, our MBA graduates are recruited to join organizations in over 60 countries - unmatched by any other business school. Consequently, our alumni network has unlimited international reach and global perspective. Recruiters tell us that our diverse learning environment creates open-minded, culturally aware graduates who feel at home in any location worldwide. It also creates a vibrant setting for participants' partners and families to spend an eventful year. We were also the first school in which the term 'international' took on a true meaning with our unique multicultural learning environment. With our 'one school, two campuses' structure, INSEAD became the first premier business school to offer a full-time MBA program simultaneously on both sides of the globe. We are unique in offering the opportunity to study across three continents, through our two campuses - in Singapore and France - and through our exchange with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in the USA. More than 70% of our participants study on two or more campus during their year at INSEAD. Intensity In 1959 INSEAD pioneered the one-year MBA program, and we continue to challenge convention to ensure that our program s leading edge. The MBA curriculum is designed to quickly and thoroughly prepare participants for a career in international business. This aim is reflected in the compressed timeframe, reliance on group work and overt focus on international markets and settings. It is a collaborative environment, with participants sharing their knowledge and experience, and helping each other throughout the year. The first few periods are based on a structured series of 13 core classes. There are courses in accounting, finance, statistics, strategy, marketing, operations management and organizational behavior. Other courses focus on the environment in which business takes place. The second half of the program is customizable. Participants take a minimum of ten and a half electives, creating a mix of topics that will support their educational and professional goals. During one year, participants cover around 80% of the teaching hours offered in a two-year program. This is achieved by focusing on study and avoiding downtime during the program. The days are long and exacting, replicating the intense world of international business. Despite the intensity of the curriculum, INSEAD participants still find the time and energy to have a stimulating life outside the classroom, for example, during INSEAD's renowned "National Weeks" when participants of a particular nationality host a week packed with events to showcase their country's culture. Our recruiters tell us that INSEAD alumni know how to manage their time efficiently and effectively. This quality comes with prioritizing and making choices from the very beginning about your learning, socializing and personal time. ???
