last year, one admission officer visited china to take interviews at Beijing and shanghai. I am not sure why they change the policy. It is impossible for international applicants to pay a visit to New haven. You guys should ask for an alumni interview.
For those who received the Yale interview, you have a great chance to get in. According to BW forum, Yale invited 1/3 of R2 applicants for interview, and usually they will admit 1/2 of those who are interviewed.
And the Yale guy also said "No more "batches" of Round 2 invites. Case by case basis after this point." in response to the question "Any idea when the next batch of invites for R2 may come out?"
I think GMAT and GPA are the most important factors in Yale application given the number of applicants and the quick response from the school(only a few days). My 2 cents.
