[求助]关于BARRON听力！有问题！

在BARRON的model test1的听力中,

LISTENING2的GEOLOGY CLASS中在讲述radial pattern那段(若有书,在P558,第三行)有个the hub of a wheel, 可奇怪的是wheel［wi：l］这个词在文中很清晰的被读成"互右"这个音,难道这是英音??

（还有一处不明白是在讲trellis pattern(一种类似棚架的排水系统)的时候说this pattern forms in the areas where there are alternating bands of variable resistance, and by that i mean that the bands of rock that are very strong and resistant to erosion alternate with bands of rock that are weak and easily eroded.［在书中Ｐ５５９，第三行］这句话是什么意思？）已解决

那wheel为什么在听力中读成＂互右＂的音呢？有谁听过这种发音么？！

美式英语中很多wh-开头的词都有这种发音特点。比如wheat可以被读成[hwi:t], when [hwen]，what[hwot],所以wheel是[hwi:l]

是这样么,可能是我听的太少了,以前从没听过这些词语被发成这样的音......

这个发音规则绝对是没有问题的。但是很多美国人今天其实也不这么读了。
