Beijing, July 21, 2008 – Huang Ming, Li Lode, and Wang Yijiang have joined Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business from the faculties of Cornell, Yale, and Carlson, respectively. In addition to these full-time appointments, thus far in 2008 Cheung Kong has welcomed 14 visiting professors from schools such as MIT, NYU, and Berkeley.
Cheung Kong GSB’s greatest strength is its growing number of world-class faculty members. They have chosen to join Cheung Kong because they believe that Cheung Kong GSB provides the best platform for cutting-edge teaching and research on emerging markets in China and Asia.
Huang Ming is Professor of Finance (with tenure) at Cornell
University. His former academic positions include associate professor of finance at Stanford GSB and assistant professor at Chicago GSB. Dr. Huang received a PhD in Finance from Stanford in 1996 and a PhD in physics from Cornell in 1991.
Li Lode was Professor of Operations Management at Yale School of Management, and also taught at MIT, Northwestern, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Professor Li received a PhD in Management Economics and Decision Sciences from Northwestern
University in 1984.
Wang Yijiang was Professor at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He is also Research Fellow of William Davidson Institute of Transition Economics, University of Michigan, Senior Fellow of National Center of Economic Research, Tsinghua
University, and vice president of the Chinese Economists' Society in North America. Professor Wang received a PhD in Economics from Harvard
University in 1991.
