Have you ever heard of the news that one of the best universities in our country fails to recruit enough students this year? If it were happened five years ago, everyone would think that it must be a joke. However, we should admit that it is true. More and more students choose to go to college directly instead of university. Though graduated from high school six years ago, I can still recall the situation that all the students want to go to university. Say, Jacky, my best friend in my high school, was declined by his ideal university. He was so depressed that he just immersed himself into computer games all the summer holiday. Currently, we can not regard that university is superior to collage again, even some excellent students would like to go to college rather than university. Maybe there are a couple of reasons to explain the phenomenon. To begin with, many university students find that it becomes very tough for them to find a satisfied job. As is showed in a survey by Summit Consulting Company, nearly half of the graduates from university are disappointed with the education in university. Some of these students, including some in technic major, have to do some marketing job. On the contrary, students graduated from college are very popular in the human resource market. During the college time, they have a chance to learn some special technic. Some are familiar with management, some are proficient in repairing equipments. Comparing to those university curriculum, subjects in college are more practical and crucial. The technics and knowledge students get from college can make them specialize in their major. More importantly, the college is experiencing a fast-developing period these years. Maybe on the end of 20th century, people are used to regarding college as school that with inferior education. Students with high score would surely choose to go to university at that time. However, things are totally different today. More advanced and celebrated professors would like to teach in college; Hundreds of business tycoon denote some of their assets to college; even some celebrity are interested in get some degrees in college. Many buildings are erected, a couple of excellent professors are invited to teach, headmasters of colleges gradually have the confidence to announce that welcome the excellent students come. Consequently, the trend that more students choose to go to collage is going on.
