Some people believe that the earth is being
harms by human activity. Other feel that human activity makes the earth a
better place to live. What is your opinion?

 

Human beings, as a part of nature, develop
different relationship with nature from ancient time to today. At the every
beginning, primitive men were afraid of and admired nature for the reason that
they have no knowledge of it. As time went by, human beings began to understand
the many phenomenon of nature and learned to explore the rich resources. Today,
human has gain great progress in science and technology, as the result, we
become the controller of nature. We are able to use our intelligence to manipulate
the nature. However, a question is raised according ito this situation. Is the world
becoming a better place to live or becoming worse by human activities? There is
no denying that human activities do bring some negative affects to the
environment, however, I believed that the earth has become and will become a
much better place for living.

 

     
Human activities lead to a blossom of new scientific creations. the creation
of light, washing machine, computer, internet and all other electric appliances
bring us human beings a more convenient life. Can you imagine how tough it will
be if there is no lights in your house? And what if washing machines have never
been created? What’s more, with the computers and internet, we are able to
access to a sea of information without going out of your room; we can chat with
our friends on another continent and improve our friendship; we can buy whatever
we desire just by clicking our mouse.

 

     Furthermore, human activities can make us live
under a safer environment. With the technology, we can predict many forms of
natural disasters, such as typhoon, earthquake, and the eruption of the
volcanoes. It is this kind of human activity warns us to take some measures in
advanced to protect ourselves and our possessions. They prevent us from losing
our lives and suffering a disastrous outcome.

 

      We must admit that human activities also
do harm to the earth. For example, the inordinate exploration results in the
damage of the ecosystem... The emission from the factories makes the green
house effect more serious.

 

      
In conclusion, although there are some undesirable impacts caused by human
activities, generally speaking, they bring a pleasant life to us and make the
world better to live because the aim of human activities is to make progress in
order to serve human ourselves.
