As far as I know, Utah is trying to keep the tradition from Michigan, which is working close with students. Notice that Utah has lots of Michigan graduates.

They are holding the Utah Winter Conference and so you will have opportunity to meet lots of people.

Also, Utah has a very strong finance program. If you want to do financial accoutning, you will have to takefinance courses and Utah has the advantage.

To ProfCPA, I got my master degree here, but rejected its PHD offer in
March.

It's a tough decision, since I got my recommendation
letters from those professors.

I really appreciate their help in my application.

Hass: where u go? UCI? any specific reason(s)?

To Enviro, 我最终选择了UCI，没有非常特别的原因，两个项目应该差不多。若比拼教授数量以及综合实力，UTAH要强。但是我去UCI做了Campus Visit，觉得那里是更适合我的地方。希望我的感觉没错。
另外UC系统互认学分，可以去不远的UCLA选课，也让我有点小小的想法。因为觉得PHD是个系统工程，需要其它学科的支撑，感觉UTAH不是很强。
最后，想到要读5年，选择一个有好中餐馆的地方也比较重要吧:-) 还有就是以后回国不用转机啦，呵呵，看我选校都考虑些啥
