因为：状语从句的省略形式在句首时，其逻辑主语等于主句主语；如果在句尾或者句中，其逻辑主语优先等于它所修饰的动词的逻辑主语 - by 白勇

这题太简单了,根本不用管什么结构什么语法.只要分析一下句子意思,看看逻辑关系.看原文讲的什么,讲的是新脑细胞的production包括两个东西,一个是什么,另一个是什么.看选项,不难发现讲的只有着两类,一是大脑和神经,另一类是大脑的生长和神经的增加.你认为哪个更符合production,当然是后者.所以豪不犹豫选E.

错选D：
1.1没有弄清when placed 的主语是谁？认为是mice。
Include the brain growth in mice when placed in ……，when修饰动词include ,include 的逻辑主语是documented examples.主句主语也是documented examples .所以是when documented examples are placed in ……逻辑意思不对
1.2 没有弄清they指代谁？they 就近指代c’s neurons ,其逻辑上指代C，名词所有格形式导致没有指代对象
1.3 看到that 不喜欢。只有that be +adj 冗余，其作为定语从句的引导词经常是对的选项
