Hi hong,

Long time no see. vote for MIT, which i feel is more fit for your situation and career goal.

If you are to popular post-MBA career path like banking or consulting, wharton might be better, but you are not. And you have a very clear goal to start a new business. In my mind, Sloan will give you a more exciting and resourceful environment in this perspective. Boston is a great place and where you are familiar with.

Another very important factor is your family. We are not in our 20s, family will play a more and more essential role in our life.

Btw, ping me when you are back.

First of all, congratulations on the offers! I visisted Sloan last week, and it's a wonderful school. In terms of your choice, I would agree about your family concern. But if you think beyond it, I'd love to introduce more about Wharton to you. Since I'm a Wharton student, you can regard it as a propaganda:

1. Enrepreneurship program in Wharton is very strong too. You may consult Dr.B about it.

2. Wharton has a diverse program, it's good at not only Finance, but also Marketing, Operations, etc. It also has a strong leadership program.

3. Personally, I like the big student group. You can get closer with peers no matter the size, it really depends on the interactions.

4. I would say I love the big Chinese group at Wharton. We were holding a successful lecture about Olympics, anti-violence and bigotry yesterday, we are supported by a lof of Chinese students. I talked with my Sloan friends, they said they have too little people to contribute to such a big event.

I'd love to talk more with you about Wharton. If you're interested, please send a private message to me. Good luck with everything.

Maybe you need to talk with your husband, and share his opinions.

以下是引用123456abcd在2008-4-19 9:44:00的发言:

If I am in my mid 20s, still finding the many post-MBA options all very attractive, I will probably lean more towards Wharton. Now have seen the finance and consulting worlds, I am firmly committed to start my own business in the field I am most passionate about. The more I try to imagine my every day life for the next two years, the more I feel a close-knit community with many like-minded friends that I can bounce ideas with are extremely helpful. MIT wins the battle in my case. :-)

Totally Agree!!!

Although a lot of people will just be satisfied with being a corporate man and climbing up the corporate ladder. For some others, they have to live for their passion, and making a career out of the passion.

best of luck to you whereever you end up attending.
