Nothing in life is more exciting and rewarding than the sudden flash of insight that leaves you a changed person-not only changed, but changed for the better. Such moments are rare, but they come to all of us. As far as I am concerned, most of them can attribute to the efforts of our teachers. Sometimes from a book our teacher recommended, sometimes from a line of poetry our teacher read in class. Consequently, I think that it makes no sense to judge a teacher from how much their students learn. Among the countless factors which influence my view, two conspicuous aspects are listed in the following paragraghs.
The major reason for my propensity is that it is obviously absurd to show our negative attitude towards our honorable teachers. As the old Chinese saying goes,”A teacher is the foundation of our country.” Teachers devote all of their time educating their students. Provided that a university proclaim this proposal, the teachers would certainly think that they are treated unfairly as the public put too much pressure on them and thus they will be reluctant to teach any more. It will make things worse than ever before.
Another reason can be seen by every person is that the diversity of students will certainly make a difference. For instance, one teacher is luck enough to give lectures to those students who are very intelligent while the other can only instruct some ordinary students. The former teacher makes little efforts to guide his students, at the same time, the latter one does his best to instrust their student to get a admirable school transcript. Unfortunately, those intelligent students get better marks than those ordinary ones. How can you get the impression that the former teacher should get higher wages than the latter one?
Admittedly, if such kind of proposal get passed, the teacher will work harder and harder to instruct their students to achieve more success. However, if teachers continuously work in that crazy way, their students will get increasingly depressed for teachers put too much stress on them for fearing them fail their exams. That’s not proper for the balanced development of the students.
Taking into accounts for all these aspects, i arrive the conclusion that it is a bad maneuver to judge teachers from their students’school transcripts for both the teachers’and students’ sake and therefore it is unworthy to pay our teacher according to how much their students learn. |
