大牛早就拿了牛offer，现在正在爽呢，哪用像我这样比来比去的。。。

气候这点不同意，

seattle适合生活

Yes, I have declined their offer.  小万同学is the famous wan4ever of GTech.

I still think BC would be better for you. You can end up with a good placement and its all about your dedication to research. UWM is of course good but you need to consider whether you can pass the qualify and endure the 5-year of studies in the middle of nowhere.

BC has more resources both tangible and intangible (nearby schools and the ‘industry’ opportunity for your spouse for example). I mean if you take all into account, there is no difference between the two. Yet, Ill still say BC.

 

To the Seattle weather, some of my friends are living over there. Sure, it is not like the Midwest where we have a 4-month of snows; however, Seattle has a 4-month of drizzling, a kind of annoying too.

个人愚见: 选校得看placement!我知道个人,去了UIUC, 把UT 给据了, 原因就是UT 的Placement实在不眨地.都是去一般的学校,像什么南佛罗理达,今年去什么southern methodist的.相比之下,UIUC 就壮观多了,去年毕业的两个, 都抱了一堆offer. 最后一个去了LBS, 另一个中国人去了香港科大(这人可都有两篇A journal了). 总之要看大气候, 学校排名是其一,再者看最近的就业是否上升.  地理位置什么的, 都是次要的.干大事情的人嘛,哪能那么娇气?!

I can not give you any suggestion based on my poor information. But if I were you, I prefer BC.

I helped you to ask my professors of finance. Both of them voted for BC. The reputation of corporate finance in BC is better than that in UWM.  By the way,I have no idea about the donation type to UWM because many people may not donate the huge money at once because of other considerations. Maybe he or she donates 3 M per year and lasts for 5 years. Once he or she dies, the school can get the other money. If he or she is alive, then the school will get nothing. This situation did happen in some universities.  Good Luck.
