马上要考了·大家看看这能得多少分

题目4

which source is more important the knowledge form books or the knowledge from experience

which source is more important the knowledge form books or the knowledge from experience

When it comes to the question which source is more important, the knowledge gained from books or the knowledge learned from experience? People differ their attitude towards this question. Some maintain that knowledge gained from experience is to human what the foundation is to a skyscraper. Others hold the idea that with the bloom of the printing technology, knowledge acquired from books becomes cheaper, so it is playing a more important role in modern society. Both these two ideas have their own reasons.

In general, no one can deny the fact that knowledge acquired from books is second-hand experience from other people. Knowledge in books would never be so marvelous or abundant as it is today without the existence of knowledge gained from experience. How can you imagine a man try to learn to swim without the experience of jumping in to water or a scientist declares a hypothesis without experiments? Moreover the knowledge acquired from experience is much more comprehensive and impressive than that from books.

On the other hand, it can be argued that knowledge gained from books has a wider range than that gained from experience. An increasing number of people are beginning to realize that a man can not put every thing into practice. So the knowledge acquired from experience seems too limited. On the contrary, we can learn everything in library only if we have already acquired basic reading skills, philosophy, history, literature, physics, mathematics, and the list will go on.

As to which source is more important, it really depends. We can see that man can not develop without either knowledge gained from experience or knowledge from books. For the simple reason that the former is more essential, but the latter has no limitations. In a word, it is rather superficial to draw the conclusion that which one is more important.

The ultimate purpose of modern education is to enhance the course-taker’s ability in remarkable variety of ways. Since no one can deny the fact that every individual has his or her own method of acquiring knowledge, it seems superficial and ridiculous to organize one curriculum that can satisfy numerous knowledge pursuers’ needs. So it is more wise and considerate to allow the students to attend classes optionally.

题目14Should students be required to attend classes

The ultimate purpose of modern education is to enhance the course-taker’s ability in remarkable variety of ways. Since no one can deny the fact that every individual has his or her own method of acquiring knowledge, it seems superficial and ridiculous to organize one curriculum that can satisfy numerous knowledge pursuers’ needs. So it is more wise and considerate to allow the students to attend classes optionally.

First of all, with the bloom of the information technology, the pursuers of knowledge could accomplish their tasks via different kinds of methods, including online-instruction and distant education. An increasing number of people are beginning to realize that sitting in your dormitory with a lap-top in front of you is a more popular and efficient way of study. Take my roommate as an example, he did a marvelous job in his history by distant learning, he attended only a small part of the class during the whole semester. In his point of view, learning by himself without attending classes saves so much time. The amazing numerous knowledge he learned from the internet proved that his choice is right.

Secondly, students have their own interests towards variety of subjects, and experts point out that interests are the best teachers. So if you insist that students should attend every class, it seems that you fail to take into account the fact that not every class interests people. No one can imagine the terrible result it brings if the authority obliges the students to take every classes including the rigid and boring ones. The reality is that in our college education, if you can be a well-informed or outstanding student, it dose not count whether you attend classes. For instance, some students do not like to attend the physic class, it is the physics experiments that fascinate them most, so it is intelligible for them to spent more time in the lab than the class room.

From what has been discussed above, we can draw the conclusion that a more flexible and open curriculum might meets the learners’ needs. It is unnecessary for students to attend classes, because there are more efficient way of learning despite attending class and boring classes discourage student who are eager to learn.
