The following appeared in a memorandum from the Director of Human Resources to the executive officers of Company X.

“Last year, we surveyed our employees on improvements needed at Company X by having them rank, in order of importance, the issues presented in a list of possible improvements. Improved communications between employees and management was consistently ranked as the issue of highest importance by the employees who responded to the survey. As you know, we have since instituted regular communications sessions conducted by high-level management, which the employees can attend on a voluntary basis. Therefore, it is likely that most employees at Company X now feel that the improvement most needed at the company has been made.”

1,"by the employees who responded to the survey" -- respondency rate

2."Therefore, it is likely that most employees at Company X now feel that the improvement most needed at the company has been made"-- gratuitous assumption

3."Last year" --all things are equal

1.  无证据
Last year survery shows the highest important issue.  However there is no survey to tell us the issue have been resolved or been ranked as lower importance.  Without this evidence, no one can say the highest important issue of last year will not exist in this year.
2. 无因果关系
Regular communication session is an act that management team tried to resolve the issue.  There is lack of feedbacks to prove that employees do feel improvment from the sessions.  It's unreasonable to say that the communication session must lead imporovement.

1.survey 的样本量和总体的比值没说

2.可能不是人们都关心communication,而恰恰是只有那些关心communication的人才会接受调查

3.没有证据显示公司的措施有助于communication问题的解决,特别是voluntary basis可能使很多人没有意愿加入这个计划

4.survey如果仅是select-rank这种形式,有可能更值得关注的问题没有被list,这样communication可能只是次一等的问题

5.last year不代表现在,但因为1年的时间并不算长,这个点略有些牵强,
