     1。A选项中的be engaged in和其他选项中的engage in有什么区别？？？

个人认为，两者使用都可以， 意思上一个表示主动， 一个表示被用于，只不过原句的合理意思应该保留。

     2。increasingly副词，A选项中increasingly修饰engaged，但是我感觉increasingly位置不对，应该是they are increasingly engaged in。。。能解释一下吗？？
通常的副词作状语的 位置只要不是 插入在 谓语与宾语之间，都没有太大的错误。

          还有they engage increasingly in （单看这个表达）对吗？？
这个表达没有问题。

engaged vt 与…交战

engage vt 及物动词 使从事

Ex: He was busily engaged in painting the furniture

不及物动词

engaged vi 交战+with

engage从事+in

Ex: They engage in the study of music.

及物动词的用法斯乎是个使役动词应该用被动式

不及物动词的用法则是家介系词

根据此题应该主动或被动都能被解释,我认为主要的考点在对称和副词的位置

对称: for which and for which 只能选A or E

副词的位置: increasingly modify engage

所以我认为答案应该是E

A的increasingly 放在are前面让我却步,各位牛人有什么指教吗?

如果这个题目本身没有问题的话，看来increasingly are engaged in的结构是可行的。可能are engaged in这个形容词结构不被分开比较好。其他结构中的一些engage是用作动词的，和A不同。
