今年是不是美国本土的竞争都太激烈了，录取外国的就少了很多？

呵呵，是有点郁闷，一个面试的邀请都没有，而且没有任何消息。禁不住在猜测，会不会因为美国的次贷危机裁员，反而大规模刺激了今年美国本土的人员申请MBA, 导致现在招生处忙不过来处理面试，甚至大幅减少外国的生源？ 瞎捉摸的，等待的心有点凉了，随便说说，要考虑下一步怎么做了，。。

Not likely.  They would want to maintain a similar ratio of international students.  Good luck!

I think most good schools operate under the spirit of equal opportunity, everybody is considered regardless of gender,age, race, country of origin,or sexual orientation.

To maintain diversity, the schools have to recruit certain percentage of international students, it could be maybe students from other continents (such as Europe, South America) or countries are actually getting stronger. Just a thought, good luck to LZ's applications

而国际学生比例与国家数量是ranking的重要指标
因此不会因为国内竞争就影响国际学生招生比例

I am wondering: as some b-schools got a high rising numbers of int'l applicants in R1 or early decision(that's the truth), and as the crisis introduced a lot US applicants, therefore for the int'l applicants in R2 or R3...it's really hard to say.

就象世界杯如果按实力排名进世界杯那就不叫世界杯了。

奥运会乒乓球比赛如果只进全球TOP10种子选手，那就叫中国乒乓球了。

多元化的机会长期收益是明显的。

I agree it is a possible reason. Around me, considering the percentage, people who apply R2 did not get as many admission as people who applied R1.
