Having long been debated that if we need the
inspiringly plausible slogan “ never, never give up” or not, this notion now
gradually leads the minority to form the concept that the excellent goes to the
consistent. Granted, it is known to all that persistence do have some merits in
a few situations. But I support the counterpart of it, for this can only means
waste, viciousness and sacrifice.

    

Following the doctrine, that “never, never give up”,
some people, such as extremists, can lose multiple best-and-least
opportunities. Having the risk that they may be frenzy or zealous, we should
recognize the adverse part of this slogan. Let’s picture this, what will happen
if a general march his solders to assault the enemy even though he has already
known the impossibility? And let’s just put this, what if the researchers
investigate on something that they known can only lead to failure? They are all
of meaningless and should be regarded as waste, just like the addictions.

    

The death will eventually lays on the people without
abandonment of their vicious habits. Drug and alcohol that saw a rapid boom in
our society, have came into exist long before, but only in recent several
decades did they have the connection with addiction, crime and death.
Consequently, elimination is required instead of insistence towards the bad
habits, or the step of progression will be slowed down.

    

Sacrifice, which is caused by over-persistence, will only exhaust our
limited resources. The unparalleled
advancement is now been experienced by our society that diversity and variability
are becoming increasingly catchy, while the monotone and dullness are gradually
being abjured. Therefore, the hinder of social development, such as the sacrifice
and the advocate of the “never, never give up” will finally be rejected.

    

The boosting of economy, the lifting of civilization
and the rocketing of living standard all desire an recognition that conceive
whole attributes of different things. Granted, persistence sparks people of
different era a lot. But compared with the things that be brought alone with, exhaust,
immolation and abuse, “never, never give up” doesn’t adapt to the tendency of
current development. So, in a word, I doesn’t agree with it.
