UIUC Placement 2008：

General statistics of UIUC MSA Chinese student placement

Big4: 2 both of them have MSF degree from UIUC

Grant Thornton: 5; one has 3 year working experience in Big 4 China; one has a foreign country undergraduate degree; one has MSF degree from UIUC; 2 go straight to UIUC after graduation.

Mc. Grxxxxxxx: 1  having working experience in Big 4 China.

Consulting: 1 (no w/e, Just Genius)

Investment Bank: 1 no w/e

In the following weeks, E&Y will give us an on-campus interview for the CIYF program, after that, there should be more people get offers, however, the location will be not that good, while people who already got offer are located almost in big cities such as Chicago and New York.

Basically, its not that easy to get an offer for people who go straight without any working experience, the recruiter may consider your backgroud to judge your maturity and sense of responsibility, it really count.  All in all, no matter under what kind of situations of the job market, as long as you are capable,persistent and of course, encountering some lucky, you will be fine.  Just believe in yourself.

basically its not a Bank, i think, it more like a AMC, further more, at most, its the second-tier firm in that industry. But anyway, it not easy to get offer from that firm.

嗯，还有，EY那个项目是每年都会有的吗？这个项目招完人以后中国人学生的就业率应该会还可以的吧。。

it depends on How many ppl EY wanna recruit for Chinese market, although the market is booming, who knows whats going on next year......

and if you wanna work with Grant Thornton, New York, you can definately come to UIUC, coz so far the four Chinese employees are all from UIUC MSA program, i should say its a huge advantage.
