Hey, which MFE are you referring to, lz? I am guessing there are misconceptions here in the first place. At Oxford, MFE is an acronym for "Master of Financial Economics" whereas I suppose MFE you've mentioned at LSE is a financial engineering one. These are totally different kinds of programs indeed. FYI, the full-time financial engineering program at Oxford is called MSCMCF (MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance). Both these two FE programs are quite young. The Oxford one has been launched since last year. And the LSE one is a newly developed one this year. I'm afraid many comments are kind of subjective... You may want to raise questions here for more detailed and accurate information. Many of those guys are from UK.
