1. From Leland’s gross pay of p dollars last week, t percent was deducted for taxes and then s dollars was deducted for saving. What amount of Leland’s gross pay last week remained after these two deductions?

(1)    p-s = 244

(2)    pt = 7552

本来这两个条件是可以解出答案的，但是我觉得如果p-s只有244，那根本不够之前扣税的金额，所以选的是E。
