Do you agree or disagree
Should people be allowed to use mobile phones in public transportation or not (airplane, train, bus) Why？


    When considering people’s opinions about using cell phone in transportation there are a variety of points. Some people agree that people can use mobile phone when they are in the public transportation. Other people disagree it. Both opinions are reasonable, but I have a clear preference. I would prefer that people who are in public transportation can use mobile phone.
  
    A key reason underlying mi choice is that sometimes people have to tackle with an emergency by cell phone. One function of cell phone is contacting somebody. It is important especially when emergency, such as car accident, happens. Take my friends, Mary, for example. One day when she was on the bus to her office, she got a phone call from a hospital. A serious car accident just happened to her husband on his way to his office. Mary got off the bus right away, going to hospital to visit her husband. If Mary is not allowed to use phone on the bus, she may not know that her husband was in a accident until she came back to home. This is a good example showing that allowing people to use cell phone in public transportation is necessary.

    The other reason for my position is that people can use mobile phone to kill boring time or check schedule in the transportation. When taking public transportation, people can’t do anything but stare blankly. As a result, it is more interesting that people can do something by mobile phone in public transportation. Now, there are a lot of functions of mobile phone. People can play computer game, check schedule, sent e-mail and so on.
Take myself as an example. I have to take thirty-minutes bus to my school. I always use my cell phone to listen music or check what I am going to do later. Taking bus is not boring for me.

    Of course, some people may disagree my view of point. They may argue that people allowed to use cell phone bother other passenger in public transportation. In other words, using cell phone in public transportation is impolite. That being said, I still fell that the reasons and examples I have presented are strong ones.
