i don't think sacrificing your job to prepare G/T is a good idea, unless your English is super weak, and your workload is super heavy.
if you can allocate 2 hours/day (8+hours/weekend) for G/T, three to four months should be enough (assuming you can pass CET6 without any problem now).
however, it's ur call. u should evaluate the pros and cons carefully before making decision. since we don't know u as well as u do, our analysis may not be helpful at all.
lz, even your English is weak, quitting job is still a bad choice - it just put you into corner.
If your score is high than average applicants, that is normal because other peoples have to work and you have extra time; You have to use extra essay to cover your gap in w/e.
If your score is below the average, your application is pretty much dead.
As long as you have a good reason. Ls, you are show-off. if you are in F2, you can work legally; if you are in H4, you cannot work but you can be a volunteer (a good essay material and excellent opportunity to fix some weaknesses - communication skills, cross-culture, team work, & leadership).
