Condition (1): x = y+2

Condition (2): (1/x+1/y)* 3 = 5/4

From (1)(2) we can get x = 6 and y = 4. Therefore 2x = 12, Answer (E)

3. To round up to the nearest 6 cm, the side length a must be equal or greater than 5.5 cm. Therefore Area >= 5.5*5.5 = 30.25

So (D) is the least possible
