Darden has secured a loan deal with a major bank and will continue to provide loans to international (no cosigners required), see below email from our SY international comittee: 1. There are no changes for the Class of 2010 (they are still eligible for the same Gate loan terms we were - which is great, and few schools offer a no co-signer loan for internationals). 2. As you know there is a current financial turmoil in the US. The good news is that Darden has signed contracts (5 years) with lending institutions so our terms remain the same. The interest we will pay after graduation, as you know, fluctuates with the LIBOR rate ... 3. Having said that, for the class of 2011 Darden will be renegotiating some of its contract terms with the banks (as the contracts are up for renewal), but this won’t impact FY, SY or the incoming class of 2010. As with every negotiation the terms could change, improve or even stay the same, but we don’t know. |
