是HAVE DOWNSIZED,所以前面的那个conduct肯定是定语从句的用that表示,否则2个谓语,句子混乱这里的as LARGE SUCH AS共用了一个as。

。如果是句子,那应该是its acoustic energy(is) prevented from dissipating by。

eg: i read the book,it on my knee.

Sound can travel through water for enormous distances, prevented from dissipating its acoustic energy by boundaries in the ocean created by water layers of differing temperatures and densities.

我在the new york times 上找到的原句。有一点出入,但是我觉得可以和A 中的as a result of 替换的。
