Have you taken any non mba style finance courses?

Your background is good,

but I don't think it very proper for finance phd.

To be honest,almost impossible for the first and second class.

25楼，non mba的finance是什么啊？是专门给finance phd students准备的？要是能修这样的课的话那本身也就是finance phd了，还申什么劲啊？莫非去农业经济系去读个什么农经finance？经济系本身没有finance的课，有的话也是banking and microecon什么的。不知道25楼所谓的课是什么课？

I agree that LZ doesn't need to apply for backup schools.

Make sure that you complete your application, apply attentively. You will surely get at least an offer from top 3 tier schools. If possible, be prepared for interviews, your profile is strong enough.

      你有三个master ?? 你骗人!  再说了，不管谁，读这么多master，就是目标不明确.....不知道自己到底想干什么，浪费了这么多时间和精力.....肯定不是申请Finance PHD的都一堆master吧？强人是强人，不过不觉得浪费的时间太多了吗..就直接读个finance相关的master，不能直接申，最多也就读两个，辗转一下,然后就直接申请PHD不就得了...自己走这么多弯路，还说别人弱.....我也是"最看不上你这样的人" 不过看见还有这么多人，读了一堆master还要读，让我在master毕业之后申请L-S有点信心了..

     说归说，如果LZ最后去了Havard,我还是会佩服＋羡慕死的！BLESS＋加油！

it is not abnormal to have 3 masters at usa. why you feel strange? Since you see not much. Farewell-Bye, you are another guy who feel hopeless for your future. haha, say farewell to your phd application.

tell you another thing, two of my friend wants to apply finance phd too. he has MS in CS from PKU, MS in Math from Wake Forest, MS in Financial Engineering from CMU. gmat 740. hehe, he is even more stronger than I am. Are you feeling more anger at him just because he is more likely than you to get offer? the other guy is a little bit week. MS in Math and MA in Econ from SunySB. 2 master's degrees, so i bet you must like him better.
