not increase its share of total employment, whereas the category of high-paying
service occupations will increase its share.

答案是a，我没想通，关键是题目难道不是矛盾么，low-paying service occupation有greatest increase in number, 而share却下降了。。。

这里有个基数的问题。

显然1982年低收入和高收入占人口总额比较而言，低的大于高的。比如1982年总人口100万，低的占总的70%，高的占总的30%，1982-1985低的增加了30万，高的增加了20万，这样1985年总人口150万，低的占67%，高的占33%，理解了吧？

如果你取非，低的和高的一样，比如都是50%， 那结果就和题中事实有冲突，前提不成立了。
