可以找邻居或者朋友写推荐信吗？

请教各位：

我想申请老公所在大学的商学院。我们的邻居是这个商学院毕业的，而且自己开了公司。我们可不可以请他写推荐信？可是邻居的关系是不是不够有说服力？如果以朋友（实际上我们和他是很熟）身份来推荐，会不会又不能避嫌？谢谢大家：）

推荐人要跟你有工作往来,

能说明你的领导潜力才行.

不是避嫌不避嫌的问题.

而是商学院是找有工作能力的人.

是一个很现实的地方.

实在干活,不是只拉关系.

It depends on what he/she can say about you and the type of interaction you've had.

Certainly you can. Though it seems difficult for him/her to answer those questions requested in the recommendation only as a friend or a neighbor. Or such answers will help little with your application. (Such as to answer "briefly describe the applicant's role in your organization." Tough one, en?)

However, if your Mr. and your neighbor think it's OK, then maybe you have nothing to worry about, since as the student or graduated student, nobody is more qualified to say what the school wants, right?

Before making the decision, I think it'll be more thorough to have one more conversation with your neighbor and ask his/her honest answer whether he/she think it's wise or really in  favor of your application.
