If I were you I would do my homework and reach out to people (in the U.S., not in here,) especially those current MBA students. You may or may not nail down a target school simply by talking to people from that program. However, most of the time you can get a pretty good sense about what types of candidates the school really loves. Your decent GMAT makes you a decent underdog for top 5-15, and I don’t see any problem that you’ll fail to secure a regional top B-school offer. Having said that, I’d remind you that your work experience is weak and your chance largely rests on how well you elucidate your thoughts for the MBA through your essays. (Bottom line: do you really understand what MBA is all about and feel passionate about it? Or just treat it as a means so as to feed your family?
