9. Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer. 

 

Whether to live in a small town or a big city totally depends on the preference of each individual. Some one prefers living in a quiet and cozy environment, but in the opposite, some one chases decent pay or considerable social position. Different living location means different living style. If I have the chance to choose where to live, I will choose living in a big city with out any hesitate.

 

The first reason, may be the most important, is that the job opportunity in big city. Perhaps, living in small town with a decent job and pay could be accepted by most people. They could advance a bunch of benefits, like clean air, less pollution, working stress, and etc. But, it means only part of a job itself. In my opinion, a job means challenge. The dull job to repeat a simple thing every day is no doubt wasting life. And the slow pace of casual life inclines to make people become lazy and blunt. By contrast, living in the city, you will have more choices and job opportunity, the content of job appears to be much more complicate to keep at a high speed. Also, better job opportunity may come to you with your hard work.

 

Another reason to support my choice is readily available facilities in big city. That means good education, treatment facility, city transportation. People may put education at the top of all reference conditions, an important reason to decide where to live. Educations in big city will no doubt better than in small towns. The information acquirement, high-level thoughts and broad eyesight are preponderant of big city other than small towns. No matter who, from children to college students, will get better education comparing with the counterparts living in small towns. The treatment facility is also deserved to be considered. Generally, big and good hospitals all locate in big city. Usually, big hospital means good medical treatment services and facilities. Only in big hospital can people get professional advices from better doctors. Also, convenience city transportation makes people feels comfort to live there. Every famous big city in the world has its own fully developed transportation system and the city government is still working hard on resolving the potential traffic problems to create better and convenience city traffic environment.

 

Although the advantages mentioned above, living in big city also means you have to face its negative aspects. In most time, noise, environment pollution, and, even worse, the violent rampage in the city may give people the impression of horrible living there. But, the measures advanced by government have influence on reducing them. So, I prefer living in big city gladly.
