But personally, city born and city bred. I have always regarded the country as something you look through a fantastic movie or occasionally visit it during the holidays. After giving some serious though, I think live in the big city has more advantages than live the small town.
First, live in the city can develop the friendship easily. You will find the city can provide you the best life can offer. For example, most of my friends live in the city, I enjoy spending time with friends to go to the cinema, to do some shopping, to drop around at least once a week and etc. I can not put up with stay alone all the time. In contrast, if live in the small town, I have to travel miles which will take nearly several hours to see my friends. Since we all are very busy, I will not waste the long traveling time. Thus, the contact in person between friends will be steeply reduced.
Second, it is more convenient to live in the city because of its complete and advanced facilities. When you get ill, you would go to the hospital rapidly where has excellent doctors and medical equipment. You can obtain the better treatment than in the town and be healed in very short time. And also, when your instruments such as air conditions and computers have something wrong, the repair center always set in cities, your computer can be repair quickly, thus it will not delay your work. Most importantly, in our daily life, we have to purchase many household, clothes, food frequently. In the cities, the supermarket and the shopping moll can offer a variety of goods which is plentiful.
Lastly, in order to get more education, live in the city is preferable. Beijing has hundreds of colleges and universities which now provide tens of thousands of people to study in the city, and 80 percent of people in Beijing hold a college degree or have a chance to get a degree in the university; in Guangmingcun a small town in china, however, you can hardly find even one university. More over, Beijing has lots of museum including Chinese Revolution Museum, Chinese

Museum, Technique
Museum, City
construction
Museum and so on. You can gain much more knowledge than live in a small town.
Even town has some advantages, such as the friendly people,the clean atmosphere, the closeness to nature and the gentle pace of living, even though the first cockcrow, the twittering of birds at dawn, the sight of the rising sun glinting on the trees and pastures. This idyllic pastoral scene is only part of the picture. Just for a holiday, I think, live in a small town to get a short break from our busy daily life. However, live in the city is more preferable because of its convenient, advanced services and facilities and its good culture atmosphere.
