说个背景，恳请大家给出建议

TOEFL还没考，自己定位在96，暂且不说单项

本科三流 计算机  GPA  3.8

工作三年，ERP系统分析员，也写一些代码

硕士研究生08年毕业  国内前20的学校 GPA 3.6

发表了4篇英文paper全部是国际会议,三篇第一作者，一篇第三作者，其中一篇第一作者EI检索，其他都是ISTP检索（搞企业战略管理的，这个东东在国际杂志上发文太难了，SCI检索也难）；国内核心杂志3篇

至于推荐信，可以找国内战略管理领域的牛人写（当然导师也算吧）

准备申请08 fall，strategy phd

请大家给个客观评价，参考大家意见后我自己定位，并准备材料。

我觉得不错啊，关键可能看paper质量，可以以20-50名的学校为主，前20的有较大难度，但可以一试：）

非常感谢，终于有人回应了！其实我的想法是能够申请一个TOP50的就满足了。

关于论文，有3篇是实证研究，采用结构方程；其他都是理论研究。

I have quick question. What is the criteria for you to determine which school belongs to Top 50 or Top 30?

I hope it is not based on their MBA program ranking.

There are also some rankings based on research, such as the UTD ranking.

Got it. It looks good, but a little weird for some schools, which I think should be much better than their current ranking calculated by UTD. But generally, it is a good place to look.
