Aa   108. The following appeared as part of a business plan created by the management of the Take
                    Heart
                    Fitness
                    Center
.

“After opening the new swimming pool early last summer, Take Heart saw a 12 percent increase in the use of the center by members. Therefore, in order to increase the number of our members and thus our revenues, which depend on membership fees, we should continue to add new recreational facilities in subsequent years: for example, a multipurpose game room, a tennis court, and a miniature golf course. Being the only center in the area offering this range of activities would give us a competitive advantage in the health and recreation market.”

Ai People should disobey a law that they consider unjust.

1. ds:

k=k-1 (if k is odd)

k=k+1 (if k is even)

1)a is even

2)b is odd

我选b

3.k=k+1(if k is even) or =k-1(if k is odd),那么a 的平方×b为偶数吗?

(1) a为偶数,则a is odd,a平方也是odd,不知bodd还是even的情况下,不能判断a 的平方×b为偶数与否;

答案:A

5. XY两城市有A(记不住了,先用字母代)和B(这个记住了,是核发电)两种发电方式。

3.  a set involves nine intergers, the median is 30, and range is 70, the median of the largest three integers is 30. Which one followed is a possible range1) 0    2) 30   3) 50

6. .A1= 3, A2=5, An= A(n-1) – A(n-2), 求前一百项的和

7

            AB=12 CD=2

.N!dividisable by990,N最小.

答案11

The sum of reciprocal(不认识这个词,蒙的是倒数,然后从词典了查的) of Two positive integers is 12/35the greatest interger is ?

7

1 GWD Q21.
Telomerase is an enzyme that is produced only in cells that are actively dividing.  For this reason it is
generally absent from body tissues in adults. Bone marrow is an exception to this rule, however, since
even in adults, bone marrow cells continually divide to replace old blood cells.  Cancers are another
exception, because their cells are rapidly dividing.
The information provided most strongly supports which of the following?
A.  Telomerase is the only enzyme that is present in cancerous cells but absent from cells that are not
    actively dividing.
B.  In children, the only body tissues from which telomerase is absent are those in which cells are not
    rapidly dividing.
C.  The presence of telomerase in bone marrow is no indication of bone marrow cancer.
D.  Cancer of the bone marrow develops more rapidly than cancer growing in any other kind of adult tissue.
E.  The level of telomerase production is always higher in cancerous tissue than in noncancerous tissue.

            A   POLITICAL ~~~~~
我选的A

         B  ISSUES?

         C   POLICY

  3.

Some species of Arctic birds are threatened by recent sharp increases in the population of snow geese,
which breed in the Arctic and are displacing birds of less vigorous species.  Although snow geese are a
popular quarry for hunters in the southern regions where they winter, the hunting season ends if and when
hunting has reduced the population by five percent, according to official estimates.  Clearly, dropping this
restriction would allow the other species to recover.

Which of the following, if true, most seriously undermines the argument?

A. Hunting limits for snow geese were imposed many years ago in response to a sharp decline in the
   population of snow geese.

B.
It has been many years since the restriction led to the hunting season for snow geese being closed earlier    than the scheduled date.

C.       The number of snow geese taken by hunters each year has grown every year for several years.

D.       As their population has increased, snow geese have recolonized wintering grounds that they had not used for several seasons.

E.       In the snow goose’s winter habitats, the goose faces no significant natural predation

Weaken

                magazine

GWD-26-Q22

People who have spent a lot of time in contact with animals often develop animal-induced allergies, some of them quite serious. In a survey of current employees in major zoos, about 30 percent had animal-induced allergies. Based on this sample, experts conclude that among members of the general population who have spent a similarly large amount of time in close contact with animals, the percentage with animal-induced allergies is not 30 percent but substantially more.

Which of the following, if true, provides the strongest grounds for the experts’ conclusion?

A.      A zoo employee who develops a serious animal-induced allergy is very likely to switch to some other occupation.

B.      A zoo employee is more likely than a person in the general population to keep one or more animal pets at home

C.     The percentage of the general population whose level of exposure to animals matches that of a zoo employee is quite small.

D.     Exposure to domestic pets is, on the whole, less likely to cause animal-induced allergy than exposure to many of the animals kept in zoos.

E.      Zoo employees seldom wear protective gear when they handle animals in their care.
