Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? If people want to have a good future they should have a careful plan while they are still young. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

 

Admittedly, if people want to have a good future they should have a careful plan. However, I do not hold the view that they should make the plan while they are still young. Next I will try to examine below the specific reasons for this reputed question according to which I think are the most common viewpoints nowadays.

 

As a saying goes, "Success favors the prepared mind", from which we can conclude that having a careful plan is an important prerequisite to our good future, though luck is really in existence. Take us students as an example, every semester we will required to take the final exams. And some people study hard during the semester, meanwhile some students waste a lot time in other fields which are not related to study such as cyber games, novels for recreation and so forth. At last, those hard-working students certainly will gain high marks, helping them to outstand in the bleaking job-seeking situation. In contrast, those who are addicted to cyber games may fail to the finals. In addition, this phenomenon can be seen outside the campus. Actually people should do a lot of preparations before finding an employment. They need to know the general situation of job-seeking and they should collect all the related information that may be helpful to themselves. Besides, they should assess themselves whether they are fit for their dream job. If not, should they recharge themselves by taking some training courses?

 

On the other hand, I am against the statement that they should have a careful plan while they are still young. As far as I am concerned, the youth may have some adolescent characters, including ambitious and imaginative. They just dream all day long that they will have a bright future instead of working hard and fighting for their goals. Nevertheless, they often make plans rashly. They have no idea of the outside world. They do not know the society is much more complex than they can imagine. They do not know how bleaking the job-seeking situation is. They have totally no sense of the unemployment as well as every aspect of the society. They live in their world, which is free from stress, by contrast full of dreams, and good things.

 

Furthermore, the main job of the youngsters is to focus on their studies rather than think their future too early. In my opinion, if they put much emphasis to their future and design it too early, they will suffer. They begin to worry, which, thus, will make them suffer from life pressure and have less joy than peers, causing aging mentally and physically, which, in turn, distracts them from their study.

 

To put all into a nutshell, I draw thee conclusion that people who want to have a good future should make a careful plan, but not in their young. What they should do while they are young is to study hard to learn sciences and arts. This is the most important plan and prerequisite for the good future.
