84. Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to so much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

Internet is one of the greatest inventions in the twenty first century, it makes it possible that everyone, no matter where he or she is, can know what is happening in every corner of the world, in this way, people's ability to obtain large amount of information has upgraded substantially, on the other hand, it also brings about a lot of social problems.And this issue has arouse a lot of debates.

Some people hold the opnion that Internet is very useful in any way, it expands people's knowledge and the recognition of the world they live in.For example, recently, one person reads the newspaper,know the APEC(Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation)meeting will be held in Sydeny, Australia, maybe through the channel of newspaper like <<China Daily>>, or talking to his or her friends,however, he or she doesn't know much about the meeting, but as the convention is the focus of the world, this person wants to have a comprehensive and deep recognition of APEC. In the past, he or she maybe went to the library, and deperately tried to find a little material from the piles of files, it was easy to imagine how difficult it would be to find what he or she wanted. But now Internet offers a lot of convenience, he or she can use the search engine like Google or Baidu to easily obtain what is needed. And this is the case, therefore people think many accesses to information, even excessively various channels to information do us only good.

Nevertheless, I don't quite agree with such opinions. Indeed, internet offers many channels to information, but it causes a lot of unpleasnt problems.

First, people's privacy is at stake. Currently, as people rely heavily on internet, no matter in work or in after-work life, people's personal information is inevitablt being recorded on the internet, for example, bank puts its customers' personal information in the online bank system, of course the online bank system has connections with the internet, thus, it is available to some hackers with a low level of moral, for them to obtain the customers' statistics illegally. This will cause  many severe consequences like people's PIN(Personal Identification Number) and account code being stolen.

Second , states' security is seriously threatened, recently, many countris claim that their governments' official websites have been intruded by hackers, and many key, very important national information have been browsed, even broken by some hacker. Moreove, if some Islamic terrorists have access to the United State's military websit, they may know the American army's strategy, that will be a very great threat to the security of American military as well as the safty of American people.

Therefore, internet is not perfect, while it offers a lot of information, it brings a lot of threats. We should recognise the internet in a proper way, utilize it appropriatly, maybe we can develop some new technologise to prevent the illegal methods to obtain the information that should be kept as secret.
